Your Week Ahead in Warrenville: June 17-23
Summer is in full swing in Warrenville, and this week brings a couple of easy, free ways to get out of the house and enjoy it. Here is what we have our eye on.
Thursday: Summer Movies in the Park
The Park District's outdoor movie series continues this week. Pack a blanket and some snacks and settle in for a film under the stars. It is free, it is family friendly, and it is the kind of low-key summer night that makes a town feel like home. Check the Park District events page for the title and start time.
All week: Lunchtime Live
If your schedule allows a real lunch break, the Lunchtime Live music series brings a little energy to the middle of the day downtown. A nice reason to grab food from a local spot and actually sit outside for a bit.
Looking ahead: the Fourth is coming
It is not this week, but it is close enough to start planning. Warrenville's Fourth of July celebration runs July 3 and 4, with the parade on the 3rd and the Firecracker 5K on the morning of the 4th. If you run, registration tends to fill up, so keep an eye on the city's community events page.
That is the week. Get outside, support a local spot or two, and we will see you around town.
