Your Week Ahead in Warrenville: June 22 - 28
It is a full week in Warrenville, with something free to do nearly every day. Live music, storytime for the kids, and a couple of fun library nights for the grown-ups. Here is what we have our eye on. As always, details can change, so it is worth a quick check of the official link before you head out.
Tuesday, June 23: Storytime and a Medicare night
Start the morning with a free all-ages Storytime at the Cerny Park Pavilion at 10:00. In the evening, the library hosts a free Turning 65: Navigating Medicare session at 6:30, a plain-English walkthrough if you or a family member is approaching that milestone.
Wednesday, June 24: Concerts on the Commons
The library's free summer concert series continues at Bob Walters Commons with the Feel Good Party Band at 7:00. Pack a picnic and a lawn chair, and keep an eye out for food trucks. It is one of the easiest good nights out all summer.
Thursday, June 25: Lunchtime Live and Book Bedazzling
Bring your lunch to Cerny Park for the season's final Lunchtime Live at 11:30, featuring Ben Tatar. That evening, the library opens its doors for Book Bedazzling at 7:00, a hands-on craft night for adults.
Saturday, June 27: 80's Pop-Up Arcade
The library turns into a throwback 80's arcade from 1:00 to 3:00, with classic games for all ages. Free, indoors, and a fun one for families.
Looking ahead: the Fourth is almost here
Next week brings the big one. Warrenville's Fourth of July celebration runs July 3 and 4, with the parade on the 3rd and the Firecracker 5K on the morning of the 4th. Note that the 2026 festivities are centered at Cerny Park, so start thinking about your parade spot and your race registration now.
That is the week. Get outside, catch some live music, support a local spot or two, and we will see you around town.
