Your Week Ahead in Warrenville: July 20 - 26
Good morning, Warrenville. We are deep into the good part of summer now, and this week keeps a nice easy rhythm: free fun for the kids in the morning, live music midweek, and a couple of ways to help out a neighbor. Here is what is on the calendar. As always, details can change, so give the official link a quick check before you head out.
Tuesday, July 21: Park Pop-Up at Kiwanis Park
The traveling Park Pop-Up sets up at Kiwanis Park from 9:30 to 10:30 in the morning. Free games and activities for the kids, no sign-up needed. Just show up and let them run.
Wednesday, July 22: Concerts on the Commons
The library's free concert series brings Latin Swing Factor to Bob Walters Commons from 7:00 to 8:30, with a lively mix of Latin rhythms and swing. Pack a picnic and a lawn chair (no alcohol, please) and settle in for a fun one to dance to.
Thursday, July 23: Wriggle & Read Sensory Storytime
The library hosts an all-ages sensory-friendly storytime from 11:00 to 11:30, built for kids who like to move while they listen. Free and welcoming to every family.
Friday, July 25: Blood Drive at the Library
Roll up a sleeve and help a neighbor. The library hosts a blood drive for ages 18 and up from 10:30 in the morning to 3:00. A little time, a big difference.
Sunday, July 26: Spill the Beans Book Meet-Up
Wind down the week with a casual book chat over coffee at Cora Coffee & Tea House from 11:00 to noon, for ages 18 and up. Bring whatever you are reading and meet a few fellow readers.
Looking ahead
Next week closes out July with a Park Pop-Up at Summerlakes Park and Beyond the Blonde on the Commons, and then August arrives fast. Keep circling National Night Out on August 4 and Summer Daze on August 7 and 8, the weekend the whole town turns out.
That is the week. Get outside, catch some music, and we will see you around town.
