Week Ahead

Your Week Ahead in Warrenville: Oct 19 - Oct 25

Good morning, Warrenville. This is a quieter, cozy-season week with Halloween creeping closer, a few spooky programs for kids, and the usual civic meetings. Here is what is on the calendar from Monday, October 19 through Sunday, October 25, drawn from the official city, library, and Park District pages. Details can change, so confirm times before you head out.

Monday, October 19

Start the day with Nature-Telling with Lincoln Marsh at the library, 10:00 AM. In the evening the City Council meets at 6:30 PM at City Hall, and the Warrenville Writers Connection gathers at the library at 7:00 PM.

Tuesday, October 20

Kids can try Spooky STEAM from 4:30 to 5:15 PM, a Halloween-flavored science and craft hour. The Environmental Advisory Commission meets at City Hall at 7:00 PM.

Wednesday, October 21

Little ones can join Seasons with The Morton Arboretum at 10:30 AM. The Library Board of Trustees meets that evening at 7:00 PM, and residents are welcome.

Thursday, October 22

After school, Hogwarts Potions 101 runs from 4:30 to 6:00 PM (sign up early, these fill fast). At 7:00 PM the Sound Bowl Meditation offers an hour to unwind, and the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals meets at City Hall.

Friday, October 23

A second round of Spooky STEAM runs at 4:30 PM, followed by the Pajama Party at 5:30 PM. Wear your coziest pajamas.

Weekend, October 24 and 25

Nothing big on the official calendars this weekend, which is a fine excuse to rake leaves, walk the Prairie Path, or plan your Halloween. If you are cleaning up the yard, our fall cleanup guide covers brush pickup and free wood chips.

Looking ahead

Next Monday brings Monster Mash and the library's campy horror book club at Rock Bottom, then Fall Fest at the Recreation Center on Friday, October 30. See the full list on our events page.
